A feeling of deep gratitude prompts me to tell of the blessing which I have received in Christian Science. Eleven years ago my daughter, who was then twelve years old, was afflicted with a severe scrofulous disease which affected her seriously. The physician did his best to help her; but in vain. After several weeks had passed, he said he regretted to inform me that the child's eyesight was endangered, and advised me to take her as soon as possible to a hospital. But "man's extremity is God's opportunity." Through acquaintances I heard of Christian Science; and I immediately decided to turn to a Christian Science practitioner for help. She gave my child a treatment the very same day, and explained this teaching to me and to my family. The result was wonderful; for God's help was present. Two days later my child was able to go out without a bandage; and in three or four weeks she was completely healed. Her eyes are better than they were before, and the disease has never returned.
It is with gratitude that I give this testimony to help others to find the way to Truth and Love. My desire is to grow continually in grace and love, to follow our Master's example and his commandments. I am also very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for discovering this truth, and to the practitioner for her kindness and love.— Aalen, Wurttemberg, Germany.
