I thank our Father-Mother God for revealing Christian Science to Mrs. Eddy. I love her because she was so spiritually-minded that God could reveal it to her and she could pass it on to the world. Well do I remember when Christian Science first came to me over twenty years ago. I was superintendent of a Methodist Sunday school at that time. Some friends spoke about holding Christian Science services at the same schoolhouse where we held our meetings. The first thing I noticed in these services was the peace that seemed to pervade them. The songs were so sweet, and the silent prayer was full of love.
It was not long before I began to lose one difficulty after another. I had been told by two physicians that they could not heal me of rheumatism and bladder trouble in the worst form; but after I came into Science these diseases soon left me, also the tobacco habit. I am so glad that I have learned in Christian Science that God is a "very present help in trouble." My desire is to have the Mind which was in Christ Jesus, that I may be able to do the mighty works he told us would be possible to his followers. I have many things to be thankful for, and words cannot express my gratitude for the many blessings I have received through the study of Christian Science.— Providence Forge, Virginia.
