The profound gratitude I feel towards God impels me to give it expression. I am sincerely grateful to Christian Science for the instruction and help I have received through its teachings. Not only have I been healed, with the help of a practitioner, of my physical complaints,— chronic gastric catarrh, grippe, and suppuration of the middle ear,—but my entire mental attitude has also been changed. All melancholy and anxiety have disappeared, and content and confidence in God have taken their place in full measure. Whereas, formerly, I often needed medical aid, I now find advice and help in Christian Science.
In the winter of 1923-24 I fell and broke my wrist. With perfect confidence that God is my physician I called upon the dear practitioner. She gave me successful treatment. The physician, whom I was obliged to consult about accident insurance three days after I had fallen, diagnosed the injury as a broken wrist, and at the same time expressed his surprise that everything was in its proper place. The healing progressed very quickly and completely, so that I have no more trouble with the hand.
The daily study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy constantly gives me new strength and joy in living. My gratitude to God is indescribable. I desire to love Him above everything else. My gratitude is also due to Mary Baker Eddy.—Schönau near Chemnitz, Germany.
