From the April 1927 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In February, 1915, after years of suffering, I finally asked a friend, a good friend and a neighbor, if Christian Science would help me. She gladly replied, "Now you are ready to accept Truth;" so with her loving help I became interested in Christian Science. How much I owe to this wonderful truth, words cannot express. For the overcoming of many diseases and difficulties, such as serious bowel trouble, gall duct affliction, grippe, colds, sorrow, discordant conditions in the home, and many other troubles, my heart is filled with gratitude.

I am also very grateful for class instruction; for the privilege of being a guest for two weeks at the Christian Science sanatorium; for the loving help of practitioners; and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. My one desire is so to live that I may reflect to others the healing truth as found in Christian Science.—
