Not having seen a testimony from this part of the country for some time, I should like to say that I enjoy reading the different accounts of gratitude from all the states, many from places where I formerly lived, and also those from foreign countries. We rejoice that Christian Science has gone "across the ocean" and is being "known in every land." It certainly gives us a larger feeling of the brotherhood of man.
If it were not for the understanding of the Bible which I have gained through the study of Christian Science I should be a very unhappy woman to-day (if indeed I were here at all), not only because I should in all probability be very sickly, but I should not have the hopeful outlook upon life that Science gives us. I have found that God does really help us at all times and in all circumstances; that whatever the need is, He is at our right hand ready to help.
I have had to prove many times that there is no such thing as discouragement. I am still learning what our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, means by the words (Poems, p. 14),
