I wish to add my song of gratitude to that of unnumbered thousands for the many blessings of Christian Science. I became interested in its study in the fall of 1918, when my mother was healed of Spanish influenza after being given up by doctors. This was the beginning of a joyous awakening. My old church no longer satisfied, as in this divine Science I had found the living God, the One who is "a very present help in trouble."
I am grateful for the help which I received at the birth of our baby, and also for the quick healings of several so-called children's diseases, when it was realized that God is our Father, and cares for His own creation. I have been healed of ptomaine poisoning, and have also witnessed the healing of pneumonia in three days' time.
I am most grateful for the help extended to me by loving practitioners, who are so patient with our fears; also for the authorized literature; to Mary Baker Eddy for giving us that wonderful little book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures;" for membership in a Christian Science Society, and also in The Mother Church. The spiritual uplifting has been wonderful; and for this my gratitude knows no bounds.—Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
