It is indeed impossible to find words adequate to express my sincere gratitude for the many blessings I have received through Christian Science. My earnest desire and prayer from childhood to know where I might find God, led me to Christian Science, through which the truth has been revealed.
In 1914, about one year after I had become somewhat interested in Christian Science, I had a very severe attack of pleurisy. Seven years before this I had had a similar attack. At that time I was in bed from August until November. During all that period I experienced intense suffering, and much of the time was unconscious. The doctors treated me to the best of their ability, but the trouble left me in a very much weakened condition, which had never been healed. When the severe pain returned, I was in as serious a condition and suffering as intensely as seven years before. I told my husband I wanted to try Christian Science treatment. A practitioner was called one evening, and by morning I found myself completely healed, the pain all gone. Since then I have had no return of the complaint.
I have experienced many other healings, such as the overcoming of blood poisoning, ptomaine poisoning, and chronic complaints of many years' standing, through the application of Christian Science. They were all practically instantaneous healings.
