Filled with gratitude for Christian Science, I wish to testify to the wonderful manner in which my life was saved. In November, 1923, I was suddenly taken very ill with a serious attack of appendicitis and pleurisy. A physician was called in. He said the sickness was so far advanced that it was too late for an operation. All hope of recovery was taken from me, and my life seemed to be fading away. I heard my mother call out, "Do not die!" Then I lost consciousness. In that dark hour a Christian Science practitioner was called in, and half an hour later her declarations of truth called me back to life. Through divine Love and the practitioner's work, for which I express deep gratitude, my health was completely restored. I could write a great deal more about what I owe to Christian Science, but words cannot express my gratitude to God and to the practitioner. Through this study I have received new life, peace, and innumerable blessings.— St. Margrethen, Switzerland.
