For many years I have read and enjoyed the testimonies of others in The Christian Science Journal and the Christian Science Sentinel, and I have rejoiced and thanked God that this wonderful truth has come to our age to bring deliverance to all who seek it. I did not take up Christian Science for physical healing for myself, though I needed it very much, but began to study with a dear one to help him; and in doing so I was seeking my own in another's good, for in a very short time I found I had been healed of valvular heart disease and an internal disorder which had troubled me for many years. I was also healed of a brooding bad temper which made not only myself very unhappy, but anyone who came in its path.
Jesus told Nicodemus, "Ye must be born again," and I feel that Christian Science has helped me just in that way. My life is now happy; and whereas error once ruled, God, good, now guides me, and I am protected by Love.
My heart rejoices for the truth that has come to us through Christian Science, and sings with the Psalmist, "Bless the Lord, 0 my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name." As for our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I believe I can best show my love and gratitude to her by manifesting in my daily life more of that truth which she so loved and worked to give us.— Vallejo, California.
