A few years ago my family and I heard of Christian Science; and after we had read several copies of Der Herold, we began to study the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. We were very happy to have found a religion which, through its revelations, gave us a beautiful understanding of God and His relationship to man.
One could not conceive of anything more precious than the blessedness and peace of mind which the study of the textbook and other Christian Science literature brought us. Through reading, and with the help of a loving practitioner, a number of sicknesses, some of a serious nature, were healed in a short time without medical aid; and we are confident that other seemingly deep-rooted errors will fall away from us when we have gained a fuller realization of Truth.
The application of the teachings of Christian Science to the management of my business brought special blessings. Very soon our wish that a dear friend, my business partner, might be led to Christian Science was fulfilled, and he took up the study of the textbook with the same joy and devotion we had experienced. From that moment on we were blessed with greater harmony, and were able to overcome difficult business problems by correctly applying the teachings of Christian Science. When a sense of lack tried to manifest itself, it was soon removed; and when loss seemed to threaten, we were divinely protected.
