In the seventh chapter of Revelation we read, "These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb." I can testify to the truth of these words, for Christian Science has indeed brought me out of great tribulation.
When I first visited a Christian Science practitioner, I had been suffering for a very long time from acute neurasthenia, and was as a drowning man without hope. It was some months before I received my healing of this, but during that period I, as well as other members of my family, received many healings. At last I was completely healed, and with the healing came "the peace of God, which passeth all understanding." This was about four years ago. All my life previous to this I had been as one in bondage, but Christian Science proved to me the words of Jesus, "If ye continue in my word, ... ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
I now feel that I am no longer subject to material law, but to "the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus," which has "made me free from the law of sin and death." I am deeply grateful that I can fully rely upon our Father-Mother God to meet my every need. Mrs. Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 231): "God is not the author of mortal discords. Therefore we accept the conclusion that discords have only a fabulous existence, are mortal beliefs which divine Truth and Love destroy." Christian Scientists are able to prove these words every day, yea, every hour. I am indeed thankful for all that Christian Science has done and is doing for me, and my desire is that I may help others to accept this wonderful truth.— Mt. Lawley, Western Australia.
