It was through the healing of a sister that my attention was first called to Christian Science and the study of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, was begun. For over twenty years Christian Science has been the only physician in our family of four, and many and varied have been the demands made upon it. Each year I grow more grateful when I recall the splendid results obtained during our experiences with colds, burns, accidents, measles, mumps, scarlet fever, and similar ailments to which childhood is supposed to be heir.
I am also grateful for the healing of chronic constipation, kidney trouble, influenza, malaria, rheumatism, neuralgia, tonsillitis, and many other ills, and for the greater calmness, peace, and brotherly love that the teachings of Christian Science have brought and are bringing us. I am grateful for the Christian Science Quarterly with its Bible Lessons; the Journal, Sentinel, Monitor, and Heralds, with their loving, healing messages to all mankind, hastening the reign of world peace.—Vicksburg, Mississippi
