Words cannot express my gratitude...

From the February 1931 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Words cannot express my gratitude for God's wondrous goodness to me. I have been a student of Christian Science for over twelve years, and the blessings and protection I have had in that time are a daily source of gratitude.

I have been healed of goiter, skin eruption, influenza, tonsillitis, kidney trouble, colds, toothache, and many other ills through Christian Science, but I am more grateful for the spiritual uplift that has made me a happier and better woman. One of the many blessings I have had was experienced over four years ago when my husband was out of a position. We had used all the money we possessed, and I felt as if up against a stone wall. I took the whole responsibility upon myself; in fact, I felt as if I were carrying the whole world. I called a practitioner and she lovingly pointed out the way, saying that God ruled the universe, I did not; and she gave me many other loving thoughts that lifted the burden. I turned to God to lead us, and one of the greatest blessings gained from this experience was that I learned what gratitude is—how to be really grateful—and also where my supply came from, not from man, but from God.

I am very grateful to all who have lovingly helped me in time of need. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church; to Christ Jesus, our Way shower; and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.—
