A PRAYER

From the September 1931 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Father of all, in whom each one is living,
Humbly and gratefully to Thee I pray;
I have received so much, I would be giving.
Father, I ask Thee to show me the way.

Make me alert to the need of my brother,
Show me how best I can lighten his care.
Jesus commanded us, Love one another;
Oh, let me feel I am doing my share!

Teach me, O Father, so clearly to reason,
So certainly know and so firmly attest,
That I may carry a message in season
To him that is weary and longing for rest.

So may each thought and deed, lovingly proffered,
Bring with it healing direct from above,
Blessing the spirit in which it is offered,
Surely, for "Love is reflected in love."
