TIME

From the September 1931 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In working out his problems, the student of Christian Science finds that he must learn, sooner or later, to replace every false material concept with its true spiritual counterpart. This is no less the case with time than with anything else.

Various human theories as to matter and energy, time and space, are put forward; and because they are not based on Truth, but are for the most part conjectural, such theories are continually being replaced by new ones. These theories, however, are of little or no permanent value to humanity; for while, by argument, they may seek to refute the erroneous concepts of time, space, and matter, no absolute spiritual truth is presented or put in their place.

It rests with each student of Christian Science, under the inspiration of divine Mind, and through his study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, to work out in his own experience the true facts with regard to time, space, and matter. As long as the true sense of eternity is only vaguely apprehended, time with its limitations is a problem with which the human mind seems constantly to be faced.
