Twenty-five years ago a friend placed a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy in my hands with the hope that it would help a dear one in my family. After reading for a short while I realized that every word I was reading was the truth, and I could scarcely put the book down until I had read it through. After that first reading I found I had been healed of an ulcerated condition of the eyes. This condition was of such a severe nature that two eminent specialists had given me little hope of retaining my sight. I cannot express in words my gratitude for this healing and for many others. In my immediate family I have seen very quick healings of diphtheria, pneumonia, typhoid fever, scarlet fever, and St. Vitus's dance; as well as of measles, chicken pox, mumps, whooping cough, and an instantaneous healing of croup.
In addition to the physical healings I am most grateful for the material supply that has been manifested through a better understanding of God as the Giver of all good. I should like also to express gratitude for the Christian Science periodicals, especially for The Christian Science Monitor, which is doing so much good in leavening the thought of the world today.—Bethesda, Maryland.
