In the Manual of The Mother Church Mrs. Eddy has given a definite By-Law (Art. VIII, Sect. 24) regarding the giving of testimony not only at Wednesday evening meetings, but in our periodicals as well; and I feel it a great privilege to avail myself of the opportunity thus afforded us of testifying to the power of Christian Science.
Several years ago, after I had undergone medical treatment for over a month, the only suggestion a doctor could give me for the removal of boils was to have a three months' injection treatment. Even this could not be guaranteed as a cure, and in despair I turned to Christian Science for help. The practitioner to whom I was directed very lovingly helped me, giving me my first insight into this wonderful truth. In a few weeks the boils disappeared, and although they tried to return, Truth proved the victor, and I was released from a condition which had troubled me on and off for many years.
Since then I have proved the power of Christian Science in many ways. On one occasion while playing Rugby football, I was healed instantaneously of a dislocated arm, and on another occasion a sprained ankle was healed in a few days. These healings showed me more clearly the ever-availability of good and the truth of the words, "Lo, I am with you alway."
