Like many others I can testify to the truth of the statement that ''man's extremity is God's opportunity." Until the time I was led to take up the study of Christian Science, I had been an active worker in a Protestant church, but I was not receiving the help and comfort that I needed and for which I was searching. Since childhood I had never known what it was to enjoy good health, and I had a discouraging outlook on life in general. My faith in God, as I at that time understood Him, had helped me during many trials, but I still felt I should some day gain a much better understanding of Him.
Fifteen years ago I had the privilege of residing in a home where Christian Science was lived and demonstrated, and with the desire to know something about this helpful, healing religion I began earnestly to study the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Healings of undesirable human traits and fears began to take place, and I received a most inspiring spiritual uplifting. Christian Science has brought into my experience great joy and happiness; and it is helping me to love more in God's way, and to claim and enjoy my real spiritual inheritance, the inheritance of good, as a child of God.
Christian Science was especially helpful to me in overcoming sorrow and a sense of separation when my mother passed on, because at that time more than ever before I realized that God is Life and that man as His image and likeness must reflect eternal life.
