About eight years ago my attention was drawn to Christian Science by the wonderful healing of an acquaintance who, by means of Christian Science treatment, had been healed of cancer of the stomach.
At that time I was a sick woman. The physicians' verdict was that I had weak lungs. I was obliged to drink mineral water and take a special bath cure; in addition I was to receive injections. When I declined the injections the physician said that I must take the consequences. I had great faith in God even at that time, and the words of a beautiful hymn came to me, "Take Thou my hand and lead me." Soon afterwards I was led to Christian Science. I bought the textbook immediately and read it diligently. It was not long before I felt a change, and then by and by I was healed. I felt the protection of divine Love and experienced a deep peace. I am very grateful to our Father-Mother God for leading me to Christian Science.
I have been a loyal adherent of Christian Science ever since. The daily study of the Lesson-Sermon and attendance at the services of a branch church have brought me rich blessings, for which I am very grateful. In deep reverence and gratitude I also think of our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who blessed all mankind through her great life-work. — Hamburg, Germany.
