It has long been my desire to relate some of the many blessings that Christian Science has brought me. At the time of my first knowledge of this truth, some thirty years ago, I thought of it only as a beautiful, satisfying religion which gave me that peace of mind for which I longed. At that time I did not think I had need of healing, for physically I was well. As I read Science and Health I soon learned what a help it was to me in the care of three small children, for many problems were beautifully solved.
About fourteen years later the fourth child was born under Christian Science treatment, and I was up and cared for our baby daughter three days later, without any discomfort whatever. In 1923 I was stricken with typhoid fever, which seemed so severe that I had to learn to talk, walk, and see, after the fever was destroyed. This healing seemed slow, but was finally completed through "radical reliance on Truth" (Science and Health, p. 167) as taught in Christian Science.
I have also been healed of swamp fever, blood poisoning, kidney trouble, and a great sorrow which came into my life during the late war.
