Every student of Christian Science has cause to sing praise to the most High for His wonderful works made manifest through the study and application of the truths set forth in Science and Health.
I turned to Christian Science for physical healing after two and a half years of continuous medical treatment for a condition which so baffled the physicians that they were talking of sending me to an out-of-town hospital for observation and treatment. I had undergone a very serious operation followed by radium treatment, but still did not get well. In fact, I was always under the influence of an opiate, as I suffered much and wanted to destroy myself. At times I could not walk, and the only food I could retain was predigested milk.
When Science work was begun I could not see much progress, but later realized that the first treatment given to eradicate the abovementioned inharmonies had surely and permanently dissipated a condition of chronic constipation for which remedies had been used daily. Though the road seemed long and rough, healing was ultimately attained by holding steadfastly to Truth.
