For the many blessings that Christian Science has brought to me and to my home I wish to express my sincere gratitude. Under all circumstances this truth has met our needs when rightly applied. Our three children have had many beautiful healings and all have at times been able to meet their needs by applying the truth they are taught in the Christian Science Sunday School.
I am grateful to say that our youngest boy was born without the aid of materia medica and everything worked out beautifully. This youngster has been a joy and inspiration to us all. He has never known anything but this truth and is very receptive to its application.
Our little girl, who was two months old, experienced the first healing in our home. She had what the doctor would have called pneumonia, and had not been able to sleep for several nights, and could rest only in my lap. I had become so tired and worn out from the loss of sleep that I did not know which way to turn. My husband, who had been studying Christian Science for several months, asked me if I had any objection to having a practitioner work for the baby, and the practitioner who was called sent word to me to put the baby on the bed and leave her in God's hands and to read the ninety-first and twenty-third Psalms and "the scientific statement of being" as given to us by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, on page 468 of the Christian Science textbook. I was obedient, never fearing the result. Soon she went to sleep and rested the entire night. This demonstration was proof to me that we had found the "pearl of great price."
