"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord." I wish to express my gratitude for the numerous blessings I have received through the study and application of Christian Science.
For a number of years, like the woman in the Bible, I "had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that [I] had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse." In 1927, I was asked by a friend of my mother's, who saw my need, if I would try Christian Science, as it had healed her husband of severe stomach trouble. I had never heard of Christian Science, but after having a talk with these kind friends. I immediately decided to see a practitioner.
The healing was not instantaneous, as there was much fear to be overcome, but in less than ten months my weight had increased to one hundred and thirty pounds from ninety-eight pounds. During this period stomach trouble in its worst form, and also a severe nervous disorder, disappeared. Since then colds, measles, and other erroneous physical conditions have all been healed with the help of a practitioner or through my own study.
