Gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me prompts me to give this testimony.
I had been sick for some time without obtaining relief from several physicians, who did not and could not agree on a diagnosis. All, however, were unanimous in their decree that I should have all my teeth extracted, and that immediately, if I wished to avoid direful consequences, since X-ray plates seemed to portray a decided state of disease.
At that time I knew nothing of Christian Science. I had been reared in one of the orthodox churches and moreover was a trained medical nurse. I do not know why I went to the Christian Science Reading Room, except that possibly I thought I might gather courage for what seemed to me, at that time, a dreadful ordeal. How true it is that "divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need," as Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health (p. 494)! After reading the Lesson-Sermon entitled "Love" from the Christian Science Quarterly, I asked the librarian where I might find a practitioner. One was found, who very lovingly gave me a Christian Science treatment, and my healing was instantaneous.
