God, good, is the sole premise of power. Primarily and everlastingly power is wholly good because God, good, is All-in-all. Nothing has ever detracted from this only genuine power or contaminated it. "The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty." Every utterance of divine Mind is fraught with power and beneficence.
By means of his divinely true thoughts, Christ Jesus unmasked and defeated every phase of error which confronted him, and ascended above every vestige of belief in materiality. So completely had the omnipotence of good taken possession of his consciousness that he could finally say, "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth." All power! He did not create this divine power; it was given to him by God, the impartial Giver, and Jesus accepted and demonstrated it.
The inaudible voice of God, good, is heard in every spiritual, pure, and loving thought; every peace-making, unifying thought by which God, divine Mind, makes Himself known to men. The Christian Scientist must recognize that his every true thought empowers him to demonstrate in some degree the might of good in human situations. Power is inseparable from spirituality. One has not to reach out for power through an appeal to a distant God, for cause and effect cannot be separated. Wherever the Christianly scientific thinker is present, there divine power is represented in his consciousness, for Truth's witnesses express Truth's power. Logically, then, that which has no connection with God is powerless. How much power has fear? None, for it is the antipode of infinite Love. If evil cannot deceive us, it cannot ordinarily influence us.
