Divine Principle expresses all good and supports all right desires and activities. We are able, knowing this, to cognize what sustained the healings wrought by the Master, to see why his ministry was always successful, and to account for the blessings and the spiritual uplift which came to his followers who were looking for the kingdom of heaven. So we turn naturally to the infinite divine Principle which supported the master Metaphysician, the God-power by which he always healed and blessed, and by which his thoughts and acts were continuously governed.
If we would know what it means to be governed by this divine Principle, which knows no deviation, no failure, and which is the All-in-all of the universe, we must spiritualize our thinking. God creates and governs all real being, and knows naught but His own ideas. Christ Jesus, knowing this, kept his consciousness in rapport with Principle; consequently, he was able to speak with authority and act with certainty. And because he knew that Mind and its idea, man, are inseparable, he overcame every temptation of evil.
The Master, knowing his real self as an idea of Principle, inseparable from it, governed by it, was able to utilize God's law. With the assurance which the recognition of Truth's dependableness gave him, he was able to bring about perfect, instantaneous healing for others. In studying his life, his thoughts, as expressed through his teachings, his deeds of good, as he comforted, encouraged, and healed, we learn that it was Principle which controlled his thinking and living; and today his example is a glorious one for our guidance.
