Realizing my indebtedness to Christian Science for health and peace of mind, I wish to express my gratitude through one of the periodicals. I have been healed of severe stomach trouble; also of heart trouble, diseases with which my father passed on. These healings came about when I learned through Christian Science that man is spiritual, not material, and received a glimpse of man's true inheritance as a child of God. On page 400 of Science and Health Mrs. Eddy writes: "Every disease is an error, and has no character nor type, except what mortal mind assigns to it. By lifting thought above error, or disease, and contending persistently for truth, you destroy error."
By understanding somewhat the statement. "Man lives, moves, and has his being in God, Love," as Mrs. Eddy writes in "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany" (p. 164), I was healed of the thought of separation and grief after my father passed on.
Christian Science is revealing to me God and His Son, Christ' Jesus, our Way-shower to eternal Life. I am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her loyalty to her revelation and for sharing this revelation with us through her gift of gifts, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." This "key" has unlocked for me the book of Life, the Bible, which at one time I could not understand. Also I am happy and proud to be a member of the Christian Science movement, and am grateful for class instruction.— Berkeley, California.
