I did not take up the study of Christian Science for physical healing, but because I saw that it was the religion which Jesus taught, as recorded in the New Testament.
It came about in this way: a friend who came to call on us later had a very bad accident. His heel was so badly crushed that it looked as if it were almost torn off. I visited this friend the next day and asked many questions as to how he was getting along. He had had no trouble whatever, thanks to Christian Science, and was back in school very soon. So I began to look into this Science.
I had been a Bible student for about thirty years, but was not satisfied. I was looking for something better, so I was ready for Christian Science. I am very grateful for the many healings which I have had. One was of a bad case of blood poisoning. I tried to realize the healing myself, but had to call a practitioner; and through her good work I was healed. I want to express thanks for all that Christian Science is doing for the whole world.
