On page 260 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mrs. Eddy writes, "Science reveals the possibility of achieving all good, and sets mortals at work to discover what God has already done." That is a remarkable statement, inviting earnest consideration. For who would not learn how to achieve all good through the Science which makes the achievement possible?
How can it be said that Christian Science "reveals the possibility of achieving all good"? Christian Science declares that God is infinite good, and that the real man reflects God, or infinite good. It makes known the fact that since God is infinite good, evil does not exist as reality—that evil is unreal. As this is understood, the way becomes clear for men to hold steadfastly to good and to cease believing in evil, thus "achieving all good." Christian Science enables men to perceive the real universe of God, the universe of Spirit, and progressively to enjoy it.
The membership of the Christian Science organization, The Mother Church and its branches, consists of those who have accepted the teachings of Christian Science and are practicing them. They have learned the truth about God and man, the truth of the perfection of God and man, and, thus instructed, they understand how to achieve all good. They are demonstrating this in the healing of disease and sin. They are proving their understanding in the solving of the many and varied problems which present themselves to them in their daily lives. Moreover, they are supporting the activities of the Christian Science organization with the view of aiding their own advancement spiritually, and of bringing eternal spiritual truth before their fellow men, that they also may be instructed in it and be blessed accordingly.
