In the year 1919, through a stranger whom I met at that time, I became interested in Christian Science. My interest has never waned. My health has steadily improved, and I am able to endure heavier work than I had thought myself capable of. Since I received class instruction, a throat affection, which at times had caused severe coughing, has completely disappeared. At the time of the passing on of my husband I was sustained by knowing that he had already gained some understanding of spiritual man made in God's image and likeness.
Following that experience I spent four years in the Christian Science Pleasant View Home, at Concord, New Hampshire, where I found peace and added spiritual understanding through serving. I shall ever be grateful for the privilege, and for the helpful knowledge I gained of what it means to live and grow in understanding of this great truth. My happiness has been added to through having the opportunity to serve in the Christian Science Sunday School. I have gained a greater desire to live the Christ, Truth, as demonstrated by our dear Leader, who has left us a great legacy in her textbook and her other writings. I am grateful for my membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church. —Providence, Rhode Island.
