With a sincere desire to express my gratitude to Christian Science for the healings and blessings which it has brought to me, I send this testimony.
I was confined to my bed for three months with rheumatism, and at times seemed to be in the valley of death. All this time I held fast to the truths of Christian Science, with the help of a practitioner. One day when I was feeling very low, two Christian Science friends came to see me. Very little was said, but I felt benefited by their clear thinking. After they left, these words came to me: "I do not need to awaken from a dream, for I am not in a dream; I am perfect in God always! " From that moment I felt my healing taking place; for the first time in three months I was able to sit on a chair, and from that time the complete healing came rapidly. I learned from this experience that man is not in a dream. Man expresses God.
When I was able to be on the porch I was deeply impressed with the beautiful world about me. These words came to me that day: "The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof." This clearer sense of a lovelier world has never left me.
