It is with deepest gratitude that I testify to the healing efficacy of Christian Science.
Prior to my study of Christian Science I was suffering from a nervous condition and was under the care of a physician, who stated that the condition was caused by change of life. Since I had been fearful of this period, the physician's statement aggravated my fear of possible insanity, and this, at times, led to the contemplation of suicide as a means of escape.
At this trying time, a friend offered me a copy of the Christian Science Sentinel, the reading of which created in me a desire to know more of this Science. I therefore borrowed the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, from a Christian Science Reading Room. The truth stated therein so appealed to my thought that I read it through. This study revealed to me that God is Life, and that this Life is my Life, and that man can never be separated from God. This resurrection of thought so roused me out of the "slough of despond" that I was healed, and my feet were planted on the rock, Truth.
