My first knowledge of Christian Science was obtained through reading the Christian Science Sentinel, especially the poems, when I was just a child. My aunt brought her copies of the Sentinel to our home, and in this manner interested my mother in Christian Science.
About ten years later, when our family physician informed me that I had a chronic functional disorder, I resented and denied it. At this time I was a very active member of an orthodox church, which I greatly loved. My mother advised me to try Christian Science, and I did. After about twelve treatments the healing was complete. That occurred about fifteen years ago. I shall never cease to be grateful for the freedom gained.
Christian Science was also a great help to me when my son and my daughter were born. They are now in the Christian Science Sunday School.
