Since I began to study Christian Science and apply its teachings my whole life has changed. So much is unfolding in my understanding of God and man that day by day my heart is filled with deeper gratitude for the wonderful gift Mary Baker Eddy bestowed on mankind.
The blessings which have come to me and mine are too numerous to be related, although I am grateful for every proof of the power of Truth over error. I should like to share a recent experience.
The newspapers here reported a serious accident which resulted in the severe injury of a person who was delivered in an unconscious state with a fractured skull to a hospital. I was that person. When I awoke after several hours, my first thought was that God was near. I realized His loving presence and the indestructibility and continuity of divine being clearly, and knew that Life is God, from whom I could not be separated by any mortal suggestion. The strange surroundings did not astonish me—all seemed like a dream. I had the distinct feeling that all this did not concern me, and that I was an onlooker.
