"THE ARMOR OF DIVINITY"

From the September 1942 issue of The Christian Science Journal

March we forth in the strength of God
With the banner of Christ unfurled,
That the light of the glorious Gospel
of truth
May shine throughout the world.
(Christian Science Hymnal, No. 82.)

When Truth so arouses thought that one awakens to realize and claim his divine selfhood, his inseparable unity with God, one begins to glimpse the ever-presence of divine Love, guarding and enfolding all who place their confidence in the Father's loving care.

The life of Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, was a marvel of unquestioning faith and sublime trust in God's guidance, inspiration, and protection. Throughout her writings she insistently affirms that the consciousness of Love's allness and ever presence brings the comforting assurance of the protective power of divine Love, forever at hand to bless all who seek refuge in God's tender mercy. Fear cannot control thought when one refuses to recognize evil as real, but maintains steadfastly that good is the only power, reality, and activity.
