God's purpose for man is established now and throughout eternity. That purpose, complete in every detail and ever unfolding, must therefore include the right idea of activity, service, supply—everything which makes for the happiness and welfare of man. It does not fail in any particular at any time, nor does the divine purpose for one conflict with or overshadow the experience of another.
Our human sense of activity but hints the presence and operation of that divine activity which God has purposed for His children. Our work is to translate the obscure language of matter into the new tongue of Spirit, to stand squarely on the firm ground of spiritual understanding, and learn what man is in God's sight and what he includes.
Occasionally we may hear someone say, "Opportunities don't seem to come my way." But is he not looking in the wrong direction for happiness and success? Such things as place, position, prosperity are not intelligent; these do not know of themselves how to come one's way. These desirable and necessary things are not at the disposal of matter.
