That man lives by divine decree is evidenced in the fact that the three great periods of spiritual revelation in human history—the moral, the Christian, and the scientific— have been the eras in which God unveiled His law to mankind. This points to the fact that the real man, God's image, expresses law and embodies it, for true manhood has appeared only as law has unfolded. When divine law is fully demonstrated, real manhood will be completely revealed. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, has written (No and Yes, p. 11), "Man has perpetual individuality; and God's laws, and their intelligent and harmonious action, constitute his individuality in the Science of Soul."
Christian Science teaches humanity how to obtain the full stature of the sons of God through obedience to divine law. It brings to light spiritual man and the forces of good. It annuls the conflicting, counterfeit laws of the carnal mind and demonstrates the supreme power of the loving laws of Spirit.
Spiritual law springs from divine Principle, God. It is the will of our heavenly Father, acting invariably to express the nature, scope, and power of infinite Love. It is the motive power of Deity which unifies cause and effect. Divine law acts as a conscious, loving force emanating purposefully from divine Mind to produce an infinite universe of harmonious spiritual ideas.
