This testimony is given with the desire to share with others another proof of the healing truth as taught and demonstrated by Jesus and revealed to us in this age by Mary Baker Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
From February to July, 1938, I consulted fourteen medical physicians and two chiropractors about my physical condition. I followed the strict diets prescribed, including a mild diet lasting three weeks, but had no relief. Finally I was taken to a hospital for observation and X rays. I was informed that an operation would be advisable, but was not promised that I could be cured. My husband then decided to try Christian Science help for me, upon the recommendation of a friend and coworker who was himself a Scientist. I was taken home the next morning, and the following day a practitioner called to introduce Christian Science to us. She spent most of three hours with us, and when she left I was greatly improved. A Christian Science nurse was engaged for one week.
The Wednesday of the second week we attended a testimony meeting in a near-by Christian Science church, where I gave my testimony of healing.
