ANNUAL MEETING OF THE MOTHER CHURCH

From the July 1943 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It cannot be doubted that during the past year every consecrated member of The Mother Church the world over has earned the royal title, "Christian Scientist."

Our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, reminds us: "A real Christian Scientist is a marvel, a miracle in the universe of mortal mind. With selfless love, he inscribes on the heart of humanity and transcribes on the page of reality the living, palpable presence—the might and majesty!—of goodness. He lives for mankind, and honors his creator" (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 294).

The Mother Church warmly appreciates the untiring effort of members in this period of stress. Its gratitude for the heroism of those working with the armed forces, as well as for that of the men participating in combat, is echoed in the heart of every earnest follower of our Leader.
