During the years that I have been a student of Christian Science, my blessings have been many, and I am deeply grateful for them.
When a young girl I fell down a long flight of stairs and after that I suffered a great deal from internal difficulties. At one time an examination was made, and I was told that only an operation could help me. The healing of this condition came through steadfast study of Christian Science and the steadfast endeavor to put into practice each day what I had learned about God and man's relationship to Him. This healing, which took place over seven years ago, has been permanent.
One Wednesday evening, as I was driving to church, an automobile crashed into us. Our car turned over three times and was completely demolished. My feet and legs were somewhat crushed, and the injuries about the head and face rendered me unconscious for a little while, yet I heard and knew what was being said as I was pulled out of the car through the window, and I was able to deny every erroneous statement and to know that man's life was never in the body or matter. We were only one block from our church, and a little girl who was a pupil in the Sunday school saw the accident and went to the church and asked one of the ushers to send a practitioner immediately to the corner. One came and gave us help. An ambulance had arrived, and I was taken home.
