Mary Baker Eddy's revelation of the allness of God and the consequent nothingness of matter, or evil, is responsible for the healing of a very severe case of ringworm on my feet, now sometimes referred to as athlete's foot. For God and for our revered Leader I am exceedingly grateful.
Five medical men, two of them skin specialists, gave me no hope of permanent relief, pronouncing the trouble chronic and subject to intermittent recurrence. These men, to the best of their ability, sought a material cause, but in the several years of treatment, could not agree on a single one, and therefore could not prescribe a permanent remedy. In desperation I turned to Christian Science, and after disposing of the contents of the medicine cabinet, I relied on it completely.
Medical science assigns many causes to many diseases, all of them material. Mortal mind would have us believe in many minds as opposed to the declaration of Christian Science that there is one God, one Mind, who is the only cause and creator.
