It is good to know that Christians generally are learning to love and trust God more fully. This is in large measure because Christian Science is becoming increasingly understood and demonstrated. This Science destroys the fear of evil by exposing its powerlessness and ascribing all power to God. "The understanding, even in a degree, of the divine All-power destroys fear, and plants the feet in the true path, — the path which leads to the house built without hands 'eternal in the heavens,'" writes Mary Baker Eddy in the textbook of Christian Science, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 454). And she continues with this pertinent statement: "That evil or matter has neither intelligence nor power, is the doctrine of absolute Christian Science, and this is the great truth which strips all disguise from error."
Fearlessly to trust God and have one's feet planted in the true path of spiritual understanding enables one to demonstrate God's allness and evil's consequent nothingness. Both fear and evil, Christian Science shows to be illusions of false material sense. They have only a supposititious existence because they do not emanate from God.
Most Christians will agree that God is the only creator. It should be apparent to all that God could not create the opposite of Himself. God is good; therefore His creation is good, "very good," as the Scripture states. Christian Science presents the demonstrable truth about God, man, and the universe. It shows that God is the divine Principle, or Mind, of all true existence, that matter and evil are the supposed phenomena of false material thinking, and that man's real being is spiritually mental. The perfection of God and His entire creation is the basis of thought in all Christian Science demonstrations.
