Christian Science was introduced to me about twenty-three years ago, when I witnessed a very wonderful healing of a friend, whom doctors had failed to help. This healing so impressed me that I determined, even though I knew little of Christian Science, to seek its aid when necessary.
Many years later, when a pressing problem presented itself in our home, the study of Christian Science was taken up in earnest.
From the age of eight I had suffered from very severe headaches. An eye specialist was consulted, and glasses were prescribed. Our family physician was also consulted. The former told me that I had astigmatism. The latter said that I did not have sufficient nervous energy to carry me through the day. Now at this time I had remarkable eyesight, so the glasses were laid aside. As an active member of a country club I was able to play all day without the slightest sense of fatigue, so I knew that lack of energy was not the cause either.
