In Deuteronomy we read, "He is thy praise, and he Is thy God." I realize that since praise is part of my identity, I must express my grateful thanks to God for what Christian Science has done for me.
I did not come to Christian Science for physical healing, but when I read the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, it opened up to me the meaning and beauty of the Bible. Christian Science has been my only physician for fifteen years, and I am deeply grateful for the many physical and moral healings I have had. Soon after I began to study the textbook I was taken ill with a nervous breakdown which affected my eyes. The healing of this took some time, but with the help of a practitioner and tender care I recovered, and the healing has been permanent. One day during this testing time, I was asked if I was looking for a healing or a change of consciousness. This made me search my . own thinking, and when the error was uncovered I began to get well.
Christian Science has given me a home, friends, and work; and I am most grateful for the experiences I have had and the opportunities to serve in a small way.
