In Revelation we find the following citation: "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."
As a child I attended an orthodox Sunday school and church, and during those years I learned many verses from the Bible. I was also taught that God was somewhere in a distant heaven, and that if I suffered it was a sin even to murmur.
When I was about eight I became very ill and this illness lasted for many weeks. After approximately six weeks, I overheard the doctor telling my parents that my chances were very doubtful, and that if did recover I should never be well. I did recover enough to go back to school, but I was never entirely well. I tried various patent medicines and different doctors and at times received temporary relief, but never anything permanent.
