In the Bible we read that "God is a consuming fire." Christian Science has proved this statement for me during the past twenty-two years. God's ever-present love consumes all doubts and fears and every ill that the flesh is heir to. when we do as our gracious Leader admonishes us on page 227 of Science and Health, "Citizens of the world, accept the 'glorious liberty of the children of God,' and be free!" It is with great joy and praise to God, and heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, that I write the following paragraphs.
My mother took up the study of Christian Science when my brother was in the last stages of tuberculosis. Needless to say, he was perfectly healed, for he passed the examination for the Air Force this past year.
The numerous healings we have had in our family have included those of hay fever; the complete regrowth of a finger, including the nail, which had been cut off down to the first joint; a dislocated vertebra that had caused me severe pain for years; pneumonia in its last stages; severe burns, measles, chicken pox, and warts. Where once there was lack of material supply, we now have an abundance of every needful thing.
