My gratitude for Christian Science is deep and sincere. I have enjoyed the blessings of our beloved religion for many years. I had the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School, and the seeds of Truth planted in consciousness in those early years are even now bearing fruit. I cannot express enough gratitude for the work done in the Sunday school.
About seventeen years ago I had a remarkable healing which has never lost its inspiration for me. Shortly after an evening meal I was suddenly stricken with severe pain, and asked for help from members of my family. To my dismay, I rapidly grew worse. I believe the distress would have been diagnosed as food poisoning.
It finally seemed necessary to call a Christian Science practitioner in another city. The symptoms were so alarming that a member of the family told the practitioner that unless relief came soon I would pass on. The practitioner asked only one question, "What is she resenting?" When this question was relayed to me I quite readily admitted that my thought was filled with resentment.
