WHAT TRIBUTE, GOD?

From the October 1945 issue of The Christian Science Journal

What tribute shall I bring to God, how shall
I prove my worthiness to call myself
His child? Often I asked. Then, as I prayed,
On wings of Love the answer softly came.
This angel message reached my heart: Love more;
And once again, Love more! Let unselfed love
Direct your every deed; reflect the Mind
Which governs man; see evil as unreal.

With joyful heart I saw the way, the path
Sunlit; I knew no other tribute God
Requires save that we truly, truly love.
