The wealth of authenticated testimonies of healing published in The Christian Science Journal and Christian Science Sentinel, as well as those being given every Wednesday evening in thousands of Christian Science churches, proclaim the Scriptural prediction (Isa. 11:9), "The earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea."
Although I am grateful for the healing of disease and the destruction of sin in my own experience, I greatly cherish the definite proofs of God's constant and loving protective care for mankind as evidenced in the setting aside and annulment of the so-called destructive forces of wind and wave. I give this testimony with the hope that it will strengthen others in the faith that "with God all things are possible" (Matt. 19:26).
Several years ago my wife and I were spending a week end with relatives and friends at a fishing camp situated on a broad bayou in the swampy lowlands near the Gulf of Mexico. In the evening we noticed fires on the horizon in several directions. We were informed that the muskrat trappers start these fires in the marsh grass every fall, just prior to the trapping season, to facilitate their trapping.
