With deep gratitude, I wish to tell of a healing that I experienced over three years ago. Although I have had many proofs of the healing efficacy of Christian Science, I single this particular one out, for with it such an assurance of the ever-presence of the Christ, Truth, was instilled in my consciousness that no matter what the joys or the problems of the moment may be, this assurance has never left me.
My father was a doctor, so naturally I was reared in an atmosphere of materia medica. As a child, I was ailing much of the time and was never strong and healthy as a normal child should be. When I was a young girl it was my heart's desire to become a nurse, but lack of strength and well-being would not permit this.
After my father passed on, I turned to Christian Science (very much against my good sense, as I thought at that time) for the healing of a physical difficulty which defied medical science. My healing was accomplished just by reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Although I did not understand a bit of what I had read, I clung to Christian Science, despite the fact that my family and friends were shocked to think that I, a doctor's daughter, would have any dealings with it.
